I know I haven't posted in forever. I have been so-o-o-o busy recovering from our Thanksgiving weekend/company, planning a Christmas party (for the ward), planning another musical program for the empty-nesters group in our stake, nursing sick children, being sick myself, taking Dakota to the doctor about the lump in her neck, getting her blood drawn at the hospital and scheduling a CT scan for her (more on that later), and keeping up on the "regular" housework that doesn't go away. I am feeling so overwhelmed right now, I could scream. We are headed up to Salt Lake 'cuz the girls are dancing at the Festival of Trees. Then, we will have to literally race out of there to get Makenna back for her 1st grade Christmas Program at the Mapleton City Park for the lighting of the Tree. Brooklyn will then be dropped off late to a friends house for a party. Tomorrow is the ward Christmas party. Darin is the activities chairperson and by default, so am I.) He'd just as soon do it all the right way himself, so he doesn't delegate much out. Then, when it's down to the wire, he has no one signed up to help him with stuff. So, I help him with it. As of late, I have become the centerpiece committee. This is not my forté, but somehow it all works out. Martha Stewart would be proud. Anyway, running all over town doing last minute stuff is not fun when the kids have fevers, runny noses, coughs, and sinus issues.
I plan to post soon about our fun Thanksgiving Holiday with my family, but I don't have much time. I also will write about Dakota's neck lump, her doctor's visit, blood draw, and CT scan (which is scheduled for Thursday, Dec 11th). But for now, this video I found will be enough to cheer us all up. Enjoy your holidays whatever they throw your way!
