A look at our beautiful Christmas tree.

Here is our 2009 tree, decorated just the same as years past. However, it looks completely different in this room than it did in our entry way by the circular staircase in Mapleton (our last house). I think it's "perty"! We have decorated two Christmas trees in the past (one for the living room and one for the family room), but this year we only had the umph to do one. As beautiful as it was, we didn't really get to enjoy it as much, being that it was in the front room (a room we only pass when going to the front door). However, we still found time to lay under it with dimmed lights to read from "The Nutcracker". Christmas is one of those holidays that I look forward to every year. I love putting the decorations up (but I hate taking them down). This year, I pretty much did all the decorating myself, including putting the tree together (which is usually Darin's job). Somehow he got out of decorating anything. Oh ya! He was working on building the theater room in the basement.
