Happy New Year!

Can you believe it? 2008...Wow! We hope you all had a great holiday. We spent the hours leading up to New Year's cleaning and doing odd fix-up jobs around the house. Sounds like fun, eh? No rip-roaring parties, no horns, no goodies, no games, no fireworks. Just normal stuff. "Oh, the New Year is here?...Great! Now...back to what we were doing." The girls were excited to stay up past midnight (although that is what they've been doing all winter break). They felt a little jipped because we didn't have any festivities planned.

However, New Year's Day we went to Ginger's church building (Darin's sister) for a family fun day. We watched movies, played basketball, flew the remote control helicopter, got photos taken, and had lunch and lots of goodies. It was fun. Trista (niece) had brought her photography studio with her and took snapshots of those that wanted photos. We had her take some of us...below are two of them. (We haven't edited or played with some of the other shots, yet). But I love these two! After we were done with the photos, Trista told the girls to just do whatever they wanted. The three older girls struck a pose, but Oakley was turned around facing backward. We told her to turn around. As she did, she covered her mouth and this is the scene Trista captured. Priceless! Just thought I'd share.
