Dakota at Primary Children's
We received a call from the Genetics Dept. up at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Dakota has an appointment set this Tuesday, January 20th, with Dr. David Viskochil, who the clinical geneticist, professor of pediatrics, and is co-director of the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at the University of Utah. We are so lucky to have gotten in so quickly. He usually has a 5 month wait-time. I don't know much of what will happen during this visit, other than they have asked for all of Dakota's previous medical records. It will be an outpatient appointment. We will keep you posted. I am in the process of getting the referral from her pediatrician set up (since U of U does not take IHC insurance automatically), collecting medical records from both the pediatrician and the hospital, and setting up child care/school transportation. Things are good and thanks for your prayers.
