Lulu and Rob's Cousins Christmas Party is always an amazing thing to take part in consisting of a marathon of events including crafts, activities, games, food, fun, and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus himself. Every year has a theme and this years' was "Christmas to Africa". All of our crafts and activities were geared around donations to Africa where the children have so little.
Playing in the "Snow" is always a favorite of the girls.
(This stuff is sooo cool...literally...it is cool to the touch...hee, hee. It comes in a powdered form and after water is added it turns light and fluffy like snow. As the water evaporated the powdered consistency returns and it can be stored to be used for next year!)
Making ABC books (scrapbook style)
Sara chose to bring a really fun activity of assembling the various pages of an ABC book for the African children.
African Paper Dolls
Tiffany's craft was making paper dolls with die cuts made with her new Cricut Machine. These turned out so cute!
Dakota made the cutest little card to send with the paper dolls.
School Supplies and Toys for Africa
Several of us donated supplies (including plastic shoe boxes) to put together in packets to be sent to Africa. (I don't know why I donated so much. I guess when we are in the "spirit of giving", we often give more than we should at times.)
Personalized Christmas Ornaments
These will be used each year on Lulu's decorated tree, especially for the party.
The Spread
We always have way more delicious food than we need. Don't these treats look so yummy? (The healthier stuff was served upstairs in the kitchen.)
Reindeer Games and other Fun
(I want a turn!)
The "Sawdust" Dig
(The Ladles have changed it to wheat.)
BINGO
Marshmallow Toss
A Visit from Santa
Waiting for our special visitor
Dakota leading us in song.
