This two month break from posting on the blog has probably been my longest yet. I thought about it many times, but just couldn't find the time. Even now, lots of other (maybe more important) chores are being put aside so that I can do this...but those jobs never end, so they'll be there when I get back to them. That being said...I have got a lot of "catchin' up" to do. Where do I start????

Let's start with with Darin's art update. I wish Darin had more time to work on his art pieces, whether it be with a pencil or paintbrush. He is so amazingly talented that he continues to keep me in awe. Sadly, this "day job" of his keeps him traveling far and wide too often. Even so, the few moments he finds to do his art are usually spent on pieces for someone else (for charity auctions, etc.) so we don't get to enjoy them much. Here is one of Darin's most recent portraits done for a fundraiser to help raise money for African women abroad.

He is very talented. I must confess, I will sometimes visit his art blog just to look, dream, appreciate, and enjoy. I am always in awe of such great talent.
