So, out she went...all smiles and grins...loving her newly found freedom...

...until this happened...

There's nothing like a good fall to burst your pride!
Right before it happened, Dakota was looking at me as she rode the opposite way. She didn't realize her tire was turning. The bike started tipping. Dakota stood up, laid the bike down (quite gracefully, I must say), but the bike was just too heavy and it pulled her down with it. I had to laugh when I got over there and saw the image of Dakota tangled up in the metal. (I know this sounds a little heartless, but she didn't go down hard.) I had already taken the camera inside, at this point, but couldn't pass up this photo op. I left her on the ground, while I ran in to get my camera and didn't offer to help her up until after I took the picture. Maybe I am heartless, but this sequence of photos has brought us a lot of smiles and laughter...Dakota included.
Just thought I'd share in case you need a good laugh, too!

I guess I'm heartless too, because even though I don't know your poor daughter, I had a good laugh at her expense with that picture. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteI've done the same thing! So funny! So fun to capture those priceless moments! I also love those pro. photos that you posted last, too! The two of you together are darling! I wish I had pictures like that with my kids. And how is your sis.? I'm thinking about her.
