Lucky you...a second post in one day!
Sunday was a busy, yet fun festive day. The girls searched for their Easter baskets that the E.B hid for them. Included in them were a movie, jewelry, and a $10 bill to use toward clothes for their Build-a-Bears. Dakota couldn't find hers for a while. She finally stared into the washer through the door and said, "No...it's not in there"...(PAUSE)..."Hey, I see Enchanted (the movie)! It's Enchanted!" She then opened the washer door and pulled out her basket. Their bunny slippers were darling...
...So were their Easter Dresses. Because we never got Brooklyn a new baptism dress when she turned eight, her new white gown fit the bill. She looked like a true princess; as did her three younger sisters in their matching attire. These occasions always make for great photo opps. I left Darin to take the pics,'cuz I had to run to choir practice. It was fun to see what he captured on his camera. They are all such little dolls. Many people commented at church how cute they all were. I don't think they were too hard to miss, especially Makenna. At one time during sacrament meeting, Makenna went to the potty. When she came back to sit down, Darin heard a few snickers behind him, but disregarded them. There was no room for Makenna to slip past him so she could get to her seat down the row, so he asked her to walk around to the other side. It was not until she turned and headed for the break in the pews, that he noticed her dress was tucked into her undies. He couldn't stop her. She made her way up and around several rows...nice and slow...parading her undies to all she passed...not aware of a thing. The back of the chapel hummed with chuckles for quite a while. I was up front with the choir, so I didn't get to witness this personally. I wish I could have. Good thing she's only five year old and not old enough to be mortified.
After church, we shared a yummy Easter dinner with family and friends. It was a good ending to nice day. (Slideshows below)

We had a little snow fall on Easter too, but here it wasnt't pretty, it was just cold. The previous Friday had been so beautiful that the overcast and chilly Saturday and Sunday were a bit of a let down. Nevertheless, Easter was great.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a super fun Easter! The girls are so cute!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your girls are growing so big and are so lovely! Looks like you had a beautiful (and fun) Easter together!
ReplyDeleteFor a while I was in contact with my last companion. She was from Argentina, but had moved here to the states. She was living in Utah in Bountiful (or around there). When I tried to get in touch with her again, though, I was not able to.
ReplyDeleteI am still in touch with a friend I made in one of the branches that I served in. I actually have a link to her on my blog. Her name is Wanda. I knew her in Harding Green (just outside of Bahía Blanca). She moved to Ushuaia with her husband, but then just recently moved to Córdoba.
