In early October (10th), we threw a joint 65th b-day party for my dad and his twin brother, Robert (Uncle Bob). It was nice to get together with so much family to honor them and celebrate them turning into senior citizens. One of the highlights of the night was the "Twin Twivia" (trivia) game that my sister, Heidi, made. After we all had a chance to try and guess the answers on our own, the twins told us the right answers interjecting their own experiences/versions of the story, sometimes disagreeing, but mostly in complete accord of how things went down. For example, "Which twin sucked his thumb and which twin sucked his fingers?" (Richard - thumb, Robert - fingers). Or, "Which twin filled his own canteen and his friends canteen full of orange juice, while only filling his twin brother's canteen with water while at a camp-out in their backyard?"(That would be my dad, Richard - aka sneaky. They would giggle every time they took a drink and every time Bob took a drink. Bob wondered what was so funny.) Or, "Which twin dated the other twin's wife before they got married?" (My dad dated Uncle Bob's wife). So fun, but even better when the twins told their stories. We all laughed a lot that night. Happy B-day, Daddy!
