Murder Mystery Party 2009

My sister, Holly, did it again. She managed to pull off another grand scale murder mystery party including well over 50 people, complete with dinner, desserts, and a dance-off (all while working and starting a PhD program at the U of U). This year's theme included various Super Heroes with various powers. Darin and I are usually the only married couple there, as it is mostly a party for Holly's single friends. We always have fun (this being the 3rd one) and we love the challenge of coming up with the costumes and and excuse to play the parts of the silly characters. My super heroes name was "Blue Blaze" with a firey personality, one of the most powerful super heroes in the world. Darin was a genie who's name was "The Wisher", who, as you might of guessed, had the power to grant wishes. Holly was a rapper named, "The Red Wonder". Heidi was "Shiver". Steve was a vampire named "Vampo Man", and then there were "Nerdon", "Electra", "Mr. Fabulous", "Stingmata", and "The Jester". My favorite part of the night was the dance-off. After discovering that my character was the murderer, I (along with my other Blue Blaze friends), challenged the other super heroes to a dance-off, where each group had to quickly choreograph a dance and perform it. It was the most hilarious part of the night, and unfortunately, the photos don't show that. We needed a video camera as well. But for what it's worth, here are the photos taken that evening. I have included a few pics showing the various concepts of costumes that each player came up with. Thanks, Holly, for another fabulous night. I know you won't know the majority of the people in these pics. Frankly, neither do I. I put this album together for another audience including some of my sister's friends that want to see them via Picasa Albums. So, there are over 120 pics in this one. Big! But big fun, too! (For some reason, the green play arrow is hidden up in the upper left corner, at least on my computer. Maybe other computers are seeing it o.k. It's probably still better to see it bigger, directly on the Picasa web site.)
