4th of July 2010 Weekend

As always, our Independence Day Activities keep us on-the-run, and this year was no different.  Between the girls just getting out of school (our year-round schedule kept them going until July 2nd), a family reunion, fireworks (that we finally broke down and bought this year), late-nite family bike rides around the block (now that all of our bikes are mended), and Uncle Mike and Aunt Jessie coming to visit from Vegas, we were a busy bunch.

I love summertime and it has been very hard having the girls in school during those warm, sunny days when all you want to do is be outside.  I'm not sure I love the year-round school thing for that reason (however, sometimes those school breaks came at just the right time throughout the year).  I don't know...it's a toss up, I guess.  But I do know that we were ready for their short 3-week summer break before they start up again in July after Pioneer Day.  Here are a few photos documenting the festivities of the weekend.  Happy Birthday, America!
