NEW JOB!!!

Things got so bad at Max, International!  They were making Darin's life miserable.  Many of the people that we thought would stand up for him did not and he finally got fed up enough to walk from it.  Another company, Ardyss had been head-hunting him for a few months, now.  He hadn't given them much thought until things started heating up at Max.  After a few interviews, conversations, and such...he got an offer...for more money than he was making at Max (BONUS!) to be the VP of Events and Recognition.

Caveat:  The new job is in Las Vegas.

He commutes down to Vegas on Sunday nights, stays with my parents for the week, and comes back Friday nights to spend the weekend with us.  It is proving to be a difficult situation, but in time, it will all work out when we find a house to rent down there.  It will be interesting to live in Vegas again after all these years.  We will love the snow-less winters, but will hate the summers.  So HOT!  We'll just have to find a house with a pool.  hee, hee :) 

We will really miss South Jordan, though.  We have loved it here.  One of my cousins (Ron Stutz and his wife, Jenny) has just moved from AZ into our Stake, down the street from us.  I was really looking forward to being here with them, as well, as staying in a neighborhood and ward that we absolutely love.  I didn't think we'd get so attached, so fast.  Change can be good, though, especially if it's one that is better for DH and his job.

Hoping for a better work environment!  Although, we will miss the (one or two) amazing people that we got to know at Max, we are ready for this new adventure.
