Pumpkin Patch Cupcakes

It's that time of year again when you can expect to get "Boo-ed" or a visit from the Halloween Phantom who anonymously leaves treats on your doorstep with only one expectation...that you return the favor by visiting two other neighbors and secretly leaving something for them.

My girls always look forward to this tradition.  It is a lot of fun for them and fun to choose families and friends to door bell ditch (kinda' scary too...no one wants to get caught in the act).

This year we made, pumpkin cupcakes.  (Oops...that will give it away if any two of those families read this post...oh well.)  Actually, they were spice cake mix cupcakes, decorated like pumpkins.  The idea came from one of my favorite recipe books, Hello, Cupcake!  The photos in this cookbook of all the decorated cupcakes are worth the price of the book alone.  Too cute!
