Harvest Festival @ Hogle Zoo

Can you believe we went to the zoo AGAIN?!!!!  This trip was specifically for the Harvest Festival they hold around this time every year.  I can't say I'd ever do it again, though, as it was obnoxiously crowded and a little disorganized.  However, the kids had a grand time.  We brought along our cute little friend down the street named Katie.  They all had a blast together.

I know I take too many photos of my kids at the zoo, but here I go sharing them again.  Each trip offers different experiences and opportunities.

Train and Carousel Fun

We can't take a trip to the zoo and not ride the train and the merry-go-round.  It has become a "MUST DO" on outings to the zoo.

Animal Antics

The zoo animals were as entertaining as ever this trip.  This little creature was mesmerized by the color yellow.  He kept following theis yellow kaleidoscope as Brooklyn moved it around.  He wanted to play with it.  He even went and got a snack before coming back to watch it some more.

This little orangutan loved Dakota.  She sat herself right down in the corner next to Dakota as if she were sitting down for a little chat.  It was way cute.  (Sorry the pic is so blurry.  I don't know what happened.)

Peacock Crossing - This little guy pranced around on the train tracks while we were in line for the ride.  Good thing he got out of the way or there would have been some traumatized children after wards.

Girls' Day Out
As we were leaving the zoo, the sun was in the perfect spot in the sky for a photo shoot.  The girls were tired and ready to go home, but they were patient enough for me to snag a few shots of them before we took off.  I love them!  (p.s.  We did NOT color coordinate the girls.  It just so happened that four of them wore a solid pink shirt.  Makenna was feeling left out until I told her that even she was coordinated with the pink in her shorts and Oakley's plaid bottoms.  Funny how that happens.)
