I lay awake at night thinking about all the fun stuff that I haven't had time to blog about. Yes, really! I lay there wondering if I should just do one big huge "catch up" blog post, or if I should blog about the events separately. Should I backdate them so that they show up in chronological order on the blog? Will my readers get unwanted feed overloads each time a backdated post posts? (Continue reading with swelling angst, 'cuz that's how it sounds in my head right now.) Will the new entries really show up lower down the page where they are supposed to go in the "time line"? Who really cares? What if I want to print my blog entries into a book one day (Blurb.com does a lovely job of this) and my order of events is messed up? I should definitely backdate! Geez! Why can't I sleep? Ugh! I haven't posted anything about our Yellowstone Trip that we took over Labor Day. And Halloween already happened, but now it's time to talk about Reflections. Tonight the girls find out the winners of the contest. Oh, and our Park City Trip last weekend was fun. Cold, but fun. No, we are staying here for Thanksgiving. Why, yes, Brooklyn did win the essay contest for her D.A.R.E program. What? I haven't posted about that either? BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, - OVERLOAD!!!!!
***Take a deep breath. Count to TEN. Calm...Calm...Calm. Breate in; breath out***
Hi! I'm back. I've calmed down. Whew!
I just need to take it one even at a time. I think I will try to backdate a post and see what happens. This is an experiment.

Experiment away! What is the worst that could happen? Your blog could blow up into a million pieces.....mine does that all of the time. :D
ReplyDeleteI have had the same problem because face it- we are busy and can not always blog in real time. I have back blogged and figure it's okay if nobody sees it, because when I print it out in a book one of these days I will still have it for future generations. And that's what really matters...right???
