Dakota's 2nd First Day of School

Dakota made it into Hawthorn Academy!  We are so stoked but have mixed emotions about her leaving the Chinese Immersion Program at her previous school.  She has already been going for 8 weeks and then was on her track break (year-round school) before she was accepted.  I know it will be hard for her to leave her classmates (including cousins) and start all over again.  But hopefully, in time, she will appreciate the decision we made to send her to this charter school.  Mrs. Miller, her new teacher, was very welcoming and Dakota's ability to make new friends quickly and easily will ease her transition.  Before we know it, she will be settled and comfortable in her new school, especially since she gets to go there with her two big sisters.  We are proud of you, Dakota!!!
